N, N, N”, N” – Tetramethyl-p-phenylenediamine Dihydrochloride that known as TMPPD, is an oxidizable compound that can be used as reducing so-substrate for heme peroxidases. It also used as test reagent in microbiology for determination of cytochrome oxidase positive microorganisms. TMPPD can be used for detection of peroxidases on polyacrylamide gel.
