Several vital elements necessary for bacterial growth are present in it, such as free amino acids, which serve as the building blocks of proteins and which bacteria may directly absorb.
Short amino acid chains, or short peptide fragments, can also serve as a source of nitrogen for certain bacteria.
nucleotide molecules which are necessary for many biological functions, such as the creation of RNA and DNA.
vitamins, particularly B vitamins, which are critical for bacterial metabolism, can be found in meat extract.
Meat extract might also include growth factors or other trace components that can help support bacterial growth.
